| A historic milestone for Bomet University as the institution admits its first-year students for the 2026/2027 academic year. |
| On 18th August 2026, the admission exercise was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Mutai, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Ojera, who joined staff and students as the university welcomed its inaugural cohort, following the award of its charter in February this year. |
| Students joining the School of Education and the School of Pure and Applied Sciences were admitted on the first day, officially setting in motion a new chapter in the institution's journey as a fully chartered university. |
| On 19th August 2026, the admission exercise continued with students joining the School of Arts and Social Sciences and the School of Business and Economics. |
